先日、友人から「マンデラ大統領の映画」と話題を振られ「観た観た！」と大はしゃぎしたところ「Invictus」という映画のことで、まだ観ていませんでした。。。
たまには”映画館で”と思うのですが、どなたか誘ってくれたら喜んで行きます♪
さて、最新映画情報にめっきり疎くなってしまった私ですが、過去の映画なら！
今日はマンデラ大統領を題材にした、もう1本の映画のご紹介です。
Goodbye BAFANA(2007)という映画です。
「マンデラの名もなき看守」という邦題も結構気に入っています。
ジョセフ・ファインズやデニス・ヘイスバード(24のデイビッド・パーマー大統領役）が出ています。
監獄に入れられたマンデラと看守の交流と、マンデラが大統領になるまでを描いた感動作です。
どんなに引き離されても父の精神をしっかり受け継いだ娘さんの演説、
文章を多用せず、同じ言葉を繰り返すことによって、演説会場が劇場のように一体化するという技が観てとれます。
私は普段、人前でのスピーチが大の苦手で、10人も人が居るもんなら、もう緊張で頭が真っ白になってしまいます。前日、徹夜で暗記した上にcheat sheetまで用意しても、何を話したか覚えていないぐらい緊張します。
でもこの映画を観ると「なるほど～！難しい言葉を沢山並べて、比喩を使い・・・なんて要らないんだ！」ということが分かります。シンプルで、誰にでも分かる言葉を繰り返すことが”素敵なスピーチ”なようです。
